10-week Nurse Tech Pathway to Nursing program begins this May!


Senior Program

This all inclusive program runs from May 28 through August 04 and is intended for Senior level nursing students graduating in the Fall of 2018 and Spring of 2019. The session is a full engaged educational experience over the duration of the 10 week period.

Junior Program

This program is intended for Junior level nursing students graduating in the Fall of 2019 ONLY. It runs from May 28 through August 04 and is a 24-hours per week educational experience over the duration of the 10 week period.

EMTE Paramedic Program

If you are already a Basic or Intermediate EMT and want to join our Paramedic Program in Spring 2011, take your Intro to Anatomy & Physiology (Biology 161 & 163) course in the Summer or Fall prior, so you'll be eligible for the Spring class and be ready to move forward.

Students are eligible for admission to the EMTE program who:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Place in Math 096 and English 101 on ACT, SAT or Delgado College Placement Test and not at a remedial reading level.
  • Successfully complete prerequisite courses BIOL 161 and BIOL 163 (Intro to A&P) or approved equivalent for CTS program.
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 in all college courses. Are currently Louisiana State Certified and a Nationally Registered EMT—Basic or Intermediate.

To begin the program, you first need to register as a student with Delgado. You can do this on campus, or at www.dcc.edu. We encourage you to enroll early to process all course requirements and for time to work with your Delgado Allied Health Admissions Advisor.
