Makenzi Edwards Makenzi Edwards

In 2011, Makenzi graduated from Delta College of Massage Therapy and began practicing massage therapy on a wide variety of clients. She specializes in client education, and chronic pain relief through mixed-modality massage, which includes Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, and Reflexology. She believes that pain-free living is possible by understanding the way your body responds to its environment, injury or illness, and its quality of care. She also has experience in acute and chronic pain relief, prenatal massage, post-op, joint mobilization, Myofascial/adhesion release and Trigger Point Therapy.

Makenzi understands that every client has unique needs and goals, and every massage should be customized to the client's current needs. Makenzie adds, "It is my pleausre to do everything that I can to get my client feeling better on the table, and to help them understand how to keep their selves feeling better for the long-run."


Tianne D. Lastra

Tianne was born in Puerto Rico and graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelors of Art in Economics and Business. After six years of living in Spain, she moved back to the United States and currently lives in Metairie. In 2006, Tianne started studying Reiki and other Complementary Therapies, and she is now the area’s most extensively trained and certified Reiki Practitioner.

She is a Certified Master Teacher and Practitioner of Usui Reiki, a Teacher and Practitioner of Rainbow Reiki, and a Master and Teacher of Karuna Reiki. She also holds Shihan Kaku status in Jikiden Reiki from Japan. In addition, she is certified in Aromatherapy, Crystal Work, Reiki Drumming, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, and Pranic Healing Cristal work. She is a Certified Teacher of Angelic Communication and Angel Therapy. She offers Reiki to local Oncology groups, local hospitals, and to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She believes Reiki can bring many benefits to a person’s well-being, especially in reducing stress.

Julie has been a Wellness Center team member since 2002. She is a licensed massage therapist and is nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She has twelve years experience in the massage therapy industry. Julie is a graduate of the Santa Monica School of Massage Therapy in California and Blue Cliff College in Louisiana.

She specializes in geriatric massage which takes age-related health conditions into account. Her clients have included people with traumatic brain injuries, joint replacements, diabetes, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and various other ailments. Julie customizes each session by using modalities such as neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue work, Swedish (circulatory) massage and reflexology.

Felicia Simon

In 2013, Felicia graduated from Blue Cliff College with a Massage Therapist License. Her massages are customized through integration of various modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Synergetic Myofascial Therapy. She also has experience in providing prenatal massages and chair massages for any corporate event. She strives to offer her clients the most rewarding experience possible. She adds, “I am passionate about helping my clients by alleviating their stress, enhancing their mind and body connection and aiding in their overall health and wellness”

Casey SmithCasey Smith

Casey Smith is a recent graduate of Blue Cliff College with an Associate's degree in Occupational Studies in Massage Therapy. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Certified Personal Trainer and a Licensed Massage Therapist with focused training in Oncology Massage, Healing Touch and Neuromuscular Therapy. “Massage Therapy is a collaboration of my two favorite things, art and science. I use both to uniquely address the needs of my clients. Connection is important on a physical, emotional and spiritual level and healing will take place when all levels are united through therapeutic touch, because sometimes love is kneaded.”

April SouthallApril Southall

April Southall is a graduate from Blue Cliff College and has been a Licensed Therapist since 2016 by the Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy. She is experienced in all types of modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Shiatsu, and Subtle Body Energy. In addition to massage therapist, April is a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Group Fitness Instructor and 3-time National Bikini Competitor.

As a Therapist, Trainer, and Competitor, April loves to see her clients determined to progress. Whether it's big or small, her goal as a motivator is to encourage her clients to better themselves inside and out. Watching them incorporate Massage into their fitness and health regimen is the perfect combination to a healthier lifestyle.
