A benefit for the EJGH Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center
Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 7pm - 10pm
A husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John J. Lee passed away in 1986 at the young age of 58 from colon cancer. Before his passing, John J. Lee initiated the John Lee Memorial. His goal was to raise funds for cancer research and technology at East Jefferson Hospital. Through the many years of the benefit, the Lee Family was able to fund the introduction of stereotactic radiosurgery, the first of its kind in the entire country! Technology and treatments have drastically progressed over the last 25 years and there is still much that needs to be done.
With the help of The Foundation at East Jefferson General Hospital, one of the many ways the Lee family continues to remember John J. Lee is by raising money in his honor to be used towards cancer care and treatment. 2011 is a special year because it is the 25th Anniversary of the first-ever John J. Lee, Sr. Memorial Benefit. This year his grandchildren have decided to honor their grandfather by reinstating the John Lee Memorial Benefit with the same goals as their grandfather and we want to bring the event back bigger and better than ever!
So mark your calendars for March 19, 2011 for a night filled with food, drinks, music, a silent auction and cash prize raffles totaling $2,500! The Benefit will be at the Jefferson-Orleans South from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person.
