One-Two Punch

A new Barre Fitness class will begin June 6th at the Wellness Center, combining ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates to improve strength, balance and stability while creating lean muscle. Registration ends May 31st. Space is limited.

This 4-week series with classes held every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost for the class is $35 for Wellness Center members and EJGH team members, and $45 for non-members. Participants must be able to get on and off the floor.

Join Anna Zeringue, certified MELT instructor and Occupational Therapist, for an instructional series on the MELT Method, a self-treatment approach, at the East Jefferson General Hospital Wellness Center.

This all-levels workshop will use a specialized soft roller and small MELT Hand and Foot Treatment Balls to simulate the results of manual therapy. Here is your chance to train like an Olympian! We are celebrating the Olympics with a new Winter Olympic Challenge. Teams of up to 6 people will train two times a week with a trainer and receive tips for the rest of the week.

Here's where the fun comes in: teams who lose the biggest percentage of body fat during the six-week program will win a Fitbit Blaze!

The program runs from February 19 to March 30. The cost is $194, or two easy payments of $97. This comes down to only $32 a week for a personalized weight loss program!

Therapeutic Yoga serves participants who are not able to get down or up on a floor mat easily. It is especially appropriate for cancer survivors - including those who are still in chemotherapy and radiation treatment, with a doctor's approval - recovery after illness and injury, back care, knee and hip replacement, chronic pain, fluid retention issues, and general movement limitations.

Therapeutic Yoga is often the next step after physical therapy. Based on physical limitations/restrictions, members are taught simple modifications to yoga poses to promote comfort and relaxation during a beginning yoga practice.
