Each year, nearly 27,000 women in Louisiana will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Almost 10,000 will die from the disease. The best tools we have to prevent these deaths are awareness and mammography. The Breast Care Center at East Jefferson General Hospital is the region’s most advanced/comprehensive center for breast cancer diagnosis and prevention. We not only feature the most advanced diagnostic mammography/ultrasound and MRI technologies, we marry those technologies with Radiologists who SPECIALIZE IN BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS. While some centers feature physicians who are reading leg x-rays, joint MRI’s and mammography in a day, our physicians are specially trained, and concentrate on the most accurate detection, diagnosis and staging of breast cancer possible. That specialization gives you the greatest levels of confidence in both what is detected and just as importantly, what is NOT found.
