Safe Sitter is a national medically accurate child care course developed for boys and girls ages 11 to 14 entering grades 6th-8th who are ready to learn the skills they need to care for themselves and younger children.
This class is taught by registered nurses certified in the Safe Sitter curriculum. The program teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. At the conclusion of the of this Two-Day course, participants will receive a program completion card.
Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch and money for a soft drink. An afternoon snack will be provided. Cell phones are asked to be turned off during class. Your child may want a sweater since it can become cold in the classroom.
