Dr. Padman’s goal is to be an excellent radiation oncologist who is approachable, accessible, and generally there for his patients.
He answers most patient and family phone calls on the same day and there’s someone on-call after hours for urgent questions. His aim is that patients and families leave his office more confident, calmer, with a thorough and honest understanding of their diagnosis.
Dr. Sidd Padmanabha fell into New Orleans almost immediately, and has been taking care of patients in the New Orleans area for about ten years. Prior to that, he studied at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech – go Beavers!) and went to medical school at the University of California (UCSF).
Dr. Padman trained in Radiation Oncology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has developed an expertise in prostate cancer – he performed one of the first Prostate SpaceOAR® placements in the State and is an investigator on several prostate cancer clinical trials include the new 5-day prostate stereotactic body radiosurgery trial.
Outside of work, Dr. Padman enjoys gardening, music, traveling, the New Orleans Saints, and exploring the culinary and cultural traditions of New Orleans. He helped open a grocery store on St. Roch Avenue, serving on the founding Board of the New Orleans Food Co-op.
