Let’s be real—when emergencies happen, every minute counts. At East Jefferson General Hospital, we deliver the treatment you need, when you need it. Our ER is equipped with 18 private rooms, and 33 beds total.

In addition, our ER has earned an extraordinary reputation for comprehensive care by utilizing the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) which allows doctors to automatically update patient charts, collaborate with other physicians, and immediately notify nurses of any changes in treatment course.

Established in 1979, EJGH’s EMS team provides 24/7 service throughout our community: including Metairie, the North Shore, New Orleans, Kenner, and Harahan.

To everyone in our emergency room, Metairie, LA is home, and each patient is our neighbor. Our doctors and staff are completely dedicated to each critical condition patient and aim to provide emergency care as quickly and effectively as possible.
