A trio of East Jefferson General Hospital Team Members have earned the coveted Patient Advocacy Certification from the Beryl Institute, the globe’s leading and highest-regarded patient experience organization.
Director of Guest Services Nina Victory along with Guest Services Liaisons Leea Morales and Vickie Tullier each received their certificates from the Beryl Institute, ushering in a higher-level of patient-centered care to the hospital.
“Receiving a certification in Patient Advocacy through the Beryl Institute allows our Guest Services Liaisons to be committed to delivering superior quality, safety and service to the patients and families that we serve every day in our community,” said Victory.
Patient Advocates such as Victory, Morales and Tullier play a critical role in addressing the important issues of patient advocacy, patient’s rights and ethics in patient care. The certification received by EJGH’s Team Members gives them the key knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the field of healthcare patient advocacy as well as offering tools and strategies to enhance the patient experience.
The Beryl Institute is a global community of practices dedicated to improving the patient experience through collaboration and shared knowledge. The institute defines patient experience as the sum of all interactions, shaped by an organization’s culture, that influence patient perceptions across the continuum of care.
